Day 1

Arrival at the airport and transfer to the hotel in Budva. After 2h from the arrival at the hotel, there will be a walking guided tour of Budva, which is the most touristic city in the coastal area with its 1356m of beaches and its beautiful seaside walking path. In addition to the walled old town that shows the history, the way of life of the natives, the souvenir shops, the streets and the Venetian style architecture, you will also discover the history of the city from the time of the Illyrians by visiting the archaeological museum. Return to the hotel.

Day 2

Herceg Novi, Perast and Kotor. Departure from the hotel to Herceg Novi, one of the coastal cities in which history goes back to the Neolithic and the early Bronze Age. Previously it was a trading point for many Greek merchants. We will know its old town and we will get to see the beauty of the great Savina Monastery (1448-1486) along with the religious history of the inhabitants. We will continue along the fjord of the Bay of Kotor to the city of Perast, before arriving we will stop at the strait of Verige, the bay’s narrowest section, where we will enjoy a spectacular view. Arriving in Perast we will see its main treasure, the two islands in front of the city, an original and an artificial one (Lady of the Rocks) that attract thousands of tourists and believers every year mostly to participate in the Fasinada. We will take a 5 to 10 minutes boat ride to get to the artificial island where we will enjoy the Venetian architecture. Free time and lunch at the restaurant Conte or freely. After the free time, we will continue to the Unesco Heritage city of Kotor, the old town demonstrates the great power of the Venetian style and each of its squares has a different history in addition to offering restaurants or cafes to enjoy the city. Free time. Return to the hotel.

Day 3

Virpazar (Skadar Lake) and Bar: Departure from the hotel to Virpazar with a photo stop in the beautiful island of Sveti Stefan, built to prevent pirates attacks, today is one of the hotels of the chain Aman Resort. Arrival at Virpazar, previously one of the biggest trading places of the country since through its great Lake Skadar many merchants were coming to buy and sell their products. Lake Skadar, where we will do a short boat ride, it’s the largest lake in Montenegro and Albania that the lake is divided with. Skadar reveals the immense variety of flora and fauna that can be enjoyed in Montenegro. If we are lucky we will be able to see one of the most important families in the lake, Pelicans. Free time and lunch. We will follow the trip to Bar, another one of the coastal cities, historically it was connected to various empires and reigns (Roman, Byzantine, Turkish and Venetian). In the city, there is one of the oldest olive trees in the world. In addition to the old town, mostly known as the ghost city, we will visit its great Church Jovan Vlaidimir and one of the palaces of King Nikola. After the free time, we will return to the hotel.

Day 4

Cetinje, Ostrog and Zabljak. Departure from the hotel in the direction of Cetinje, the old royal capital that was founded in 1492 by Ivan Crnojevic, here we will enjoy King Nikola’s Palace where his treasure (his war weapons) is guarded and many more objects used by kings in that time. We will visit the Monastery of Cetinje, whose original was founded in the year 1701-1704. Free time. We will continue to the great Ostrog Monastery, a Serbian Orthodox church located against an almost vertical background, at the top of the great rock Ostroska Greda that is dedicated to Saint Basilio, is the most popular pilgrimage site in Montenegro. Free time and lunch. We will continue the trip to Zabljak, located in the mountain region of Durmitor and with an altitude of 1456 meters, it can be considered the highest city in the Balkans. The city has one of the main ski centers in Montenegro open during the winter season, in summer the temperature is few degrees lower than the one on the coast which is why many locals go up to Zabljak to step away from the heat. In addition to its natural parks, the surroundings attract the attention of all its visitors since they offer activities like rafting, mountaineering and hiking. Accommodation at the hotel.

Day 5

Zabljak, Durmitor and Tara Canyon. Departure from the hotel to visit the big bridge of Tara, that is named after the river that runs through Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Its total length is 144km of which 110km are in Montenegro and the last 34km are located in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Continuing the excursion to Durmitor and the Black Lake, that is a glacial lake with a depth of 49.1m and with an area of 0.515 square km. Return to the hotel.

Day 6

Free day to walk and enjoy.

Day 7

Zabljak to Podgorica. Departure from the hotel to Podgorica, capital of the country, in between its rivers and bridges, there is a modern bridge called Mileno that stands above the river Moraca and a stone bridge above the river Ribnica. The city also has a beautiful bell tower constructed by the Turks, a Cathedral called the Resurrection of Christ and we will also visit a winery where we will do wine tastings and we will discover the process behind wine production. Transfer to the hotel.

Day 8

Transfer from the hotel to the airport.
